10 Luxury Hotels & Unique Hotels in Belize

Are you looking for a luxury holiday in Belize? Here are some recommendations for luxury hotels that we love to include in a luxury vacation to Belize. Contact us for a tailormade holiday where we can include the best Belize luxury hotels that fit your requirements, style and budget.

Orange Walk Area - Jungles, Wildlife, Archaeology and Mennonite Communities

  • Chan Chich - uxurious and remote. Excellent wildlife guides. Their website is down currently so I have emailed them but you can see a nice video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBFbmt7in7U

  • Lamanai Lodge https://lamanai.com/ - more mid range with loads of activities everyday for wildlife, conservation, archaeology (Lamanai Site is great) and visiting the Mennonite community and doing interactive tours. I sell this property a lot for families.

Cayo District - Rainforest, Pine Forest, Archaeology, Soft Adventure, Activities, Mennonite Communities, Spa services

  • Chaa Creek https://www.chaacreek.com/ is so well known and is the original eco-lodge in Belize, Now has loads of different room categories up to luxurious villas. Lots of activities in their own land and nearby.

  • Kaana - http://www.kaanabelize.com/ similar area to Chaa Creek - a more stylish and deluxe property. Less family than Chaa Creek. Just depends what you prefer.

  • Blancaneaux- the Francis Ford Coppola property in the Pine Forest. Well known and top service. More remote than the ones above. Can arrive by small plane or helicopter from Belize City airport if required.

Punta Gorda - Toledo Area - Maya and Garifuna Community, Archaeology, Soft adventure activities, Access to snorkelling, fishing etc

  • Copal Tree Lodge - this is a great gem which is nice and remote yet easy access to lots of great activities and communities activities, This area has a great history of cocoa / chocolate production and has a wonderful Maya and garifuna mixed community. Access to both inland and water based activities. Farm to table gastronomy experiences etc etc.

Beach and Islands

  • Catamarans - if you like the idea of a private catamaran I work with a wonderful small operator. US and UK couple run it. I did a trip with them along the reef which was amazing.

  • Turtle Inn which is the other Francis Ford Coppola property in Belize in Placencia. I know the management team VERY well so I can find out what the situation is in Placencia. When Guatemala opens up you can also take a boat from Turtle in to their villa property in Rio Dulce in Guatemala which is VERY cool… https://cassazenda.com/ and then maybe go over to STUNNING Antigua and stay at Las Cruces and my fave Casa Palopo at Lake Atitlan… (See how I snuck Guatemala in there :) :) :)

  • For the islands, you saw my post and I like Ray Caye and also less luxurious but great activities is Turneffe Flats here is the package I mentioned: https://www.tflats.com/belize-eco-trips/atoll-adventure-home

  • A classic on Ambergris Caye is of course Victoria House - Mata Chica is great but they don't take children under 12. More mid-range we like Portofino
